World Book Day
World Book day is officially on 1St March this year but, so all the children at Brunswick can be involved, we are having our Dressing up Day on Wednesday 28 February. If your child would like to they can dress up as a character from their favourite book.
Friends of Brunswick
The Friends of Brunswick need your help. We are working to create a recipe book to include delicious international recipes from our Brunswick families and to provide us all with a wonderful souvenir of Brunswick. Before half term we sent out a template which we would like you to fill in with your favourite recipe. We have left a sign up sheet at the nursery with an example recipe submission. Please contribute so that we can produce an international and varied book.
Ideally we need you to complete the Word template electronically and return it to Helen Francis (Zoë in Bumblebees Mum – email: helenbarnes@cantab.net) by Friday 2nd March. If you would like to submit and can’t do so by this date, please can you let Helen know what recipe you plan to submit either by emailing her or signing up on the sheet at nursery.
We are also seeking parents who may be able to help with photography (professional or keen amateur), illustration or sponsorship for the book. If any parents with businesses would be willing to consider a modest sponsorship or can contribute their skills and time, please also contact Helen.
Small Boxes
We would appreciate donations of small boxes (smaller than cereal size) for our modelling table please.
Breakfast Club
Please can we remind parents that Breakfast Club does not start until 8.00am each morning. If you arrive before this you are welcome to come in but will need to stay with your child until 8.00am. Many thanks.
Arriving and Collecting
Please can we ask parents to arrive at nursery as near to your child’s start time as possible. We understand that things do not always run to plan, especially in the morning, but would appreciate it so children do not miss out on planned activities. We would also ask that if it is essential to collect your child before the end of their session that it is done before group times to avoid disruption to other children. Please can you also inform your child’s keyworker if you plan to collect them early when you drop your child off. Group times are 11.00am and 3.00pm daily. Many thanks.
Chinese New Year
We would like to say a special thank you to all the volunteer parents who helped to make the Chinese New Year day so successful. The children really got in to the spirit of things and enjoyed every minute of the activities that took place. All your efforts are much
